Violence in football

During these weeks, the news have been bombarding us with the death of Jimmy in the vicinity of the stadium of the Manzanares, scaring the genuine fans of the sport and creating a warmongering image that does not correspond with reality. The problem is not the fans, but the ultras. Not all the ultras, but the violent ones. The solution is as simple as expelling violent ultras of the stadium. Police should identify those who do advocate violence and make soccer from being a party to a nightmare.  There should be a judicial and administrative punishment as deserved
to get rid of the scourge of violence in football as there are enough laws.

Advantages and disadvantages of traveling alone

Nowadays there are many people who travel alone to enjoy a new experience without having to depend on anyone. Freedom is one of the factors most valued by people who choose this type of trip. When traveling alone you can change plans at any time and as you want without having to rely on anyone else. A person who travels alone can be explored and get to know the personality that he or she has. In addition, he can also check and overcome his fears and insecurities. Nevertheless, some people may feel bored, homesick and miss their loved ones. Also, when travelling alone people can not share everything they feel with the people they would like to. To conclude, it should take into account all these factors before embarking on an adventure like that.

Problem/Solution essay (P.E)

One of the problems of Spanish people is that, in general, the level of English is quite low. Frequently, mid-aged people just know how to speak Spanish, and if they are lucky maybe some French.

A solution to this problem could be that people of this age learn English at their place of work, as a way to improve their professional skills. However, they don't have the same learning capacity than younger people. To avoid this future problem, schools should teach English to children when they are about three years old. It would be better if they do it when the kids are at the kindergarten because they would be really bilingual. Another solution is that, in the Spanish cinemas, they would show films in English, since it is a good way of learning. The problem of this solution is that some movies require a high level of English and there are differences in the pronunciation of the actors. Another option is to travel to countries in which people speak English natively. It is such an amazing experience, but it is very expensive and not everybody can afford its cost.

In conclusion, as English is the most important language in the world, people must learn how to speak it; learning foreign languages is wonderful to our mental health and to be in contact with people. So peple showld start learning it at an early age in order not to have problems with it in the near future.

Knowing a suicide? Part 2

But let's see, this chick was stupid or what? On top of the fact that I have helped her not to kill herself, she shouts at me. Women are incomprehensible.—Sure, now you yell at me but you've grasped my hand when you've been about to fall.— I probably would have done the same, I hate people to help me. I am a very independent person. From the moment when you depend on someone is when you are really lost. I took a step away from her and lit another cigarette, I hid the lighter on my pocket and gave it a puff. She said that obviously she wanted to fall. Then I looked at the girl without any apparent feeling.—Perhaps you think that you can fly or something, or are you a drug addict and you've had too many dosis of LSD and you think you are a bird?—I said gravely, not intended to give her a sermon or anything, but I wanted to disturb her just a bit. The girl was pretty, but hey, she rubbed me on the wrong way just for the simple fact of not having given thanks.

I stared at her for a while and I started to jump over the rocks behind us, walking away from her.—Do you know how to say thank you or just being a suicide?—I shouted from about fifty feet away. If she followed me, I would spend a long time telling any nonsense that I could think of. If she didn't, I would go with my friends and look for trouble out there, it certainly would be much more fun than that.

Differences and similarities between Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings

They are both one of the most successful sagas of all time.  Although the two stories are different and cover different worlds and characters, there are some similarities that can not be ignored. The book written by J.K Rowling starts when Harry is 11 and lives with his aunt and uncle in Privet Drive. In The Lord of the Rings, Frodo is 33 instead and has to live with is uncle as next of kin. Both stories start on their birthdays. While Frodo's is overshadowed by the celebration of his uncle, who turnes the same day. The adventures begin when a man who is not from there appears in their lives. Frodo's mission is to destroy a ring. Harry, meanwhile, should look for horcruxes (the first is also a ring), and destroy them one by one. In both Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings trolls appear. As Sauron can sense when Frodo uses the rings or enters his territory, Voldemort also has a connection with Harry, getting into his mind and pursuit him. In Harry Potter giant spiders appear in the second book (or film), there he and Ron met Aragog. Frodo, whereas, must face Shelob. Finally, Dumbledore and Gandalf are very similar physically and besides both are powerfull wizards that encourage the main characters to follow their stories and help them when needed.

Knowing a suicide? Part 1

               Melting Flowers | via Tumblr
                 ALESSANDRO'S POV (Point of view)

I was very bored in that place some would call home, which for me, was everything but a home. It was more like a kind of hell, I couldn't stand my mother's boyfriend, I had to go out of there, if no, sooner or later I would end up hitting him, or maybe killing him. I went out the front door without even saying goodbye and I wandered aimlessly through the streets. But it didn't please me at all: many people. I hated crowds. It got on my nerves.

After much walking, I lit a cigarette and went towards the coast. All right. There was no one, which I thought was completely normal, because it was very windy and it wasn't a good day to be swimming at the beach. The wind moved large amount of sand and waves, it's quite annoying if you get sand in your eyes. The beach was sorrounded by many rocks, they had enough peaks. I heard that many people had died there, I smiled thinking about it.

I thought I saw a girl near the edge of the rocks. I blinked a few times. Yes, definitely there was a girl there. I wasn't drugged and cigarette doesn't make you high, so it wasn't my imagination. She looked like she was going to throw herself off the cliff. I actually had to do something.

What are you doing?!—I yelled at her in order to curb in her attempt to commit suicide or to have fun. Fun is something quite relative. Fuck. The girl lost her balance but she managed to hold onto the rim. I ran to her. — Let me help you—I told her as I lent her both hands. I was a bad person, but I wasn't going to let her die. —Were you expecting to throw yourself off the brink?!

Is ethically appropiate the salary of footballers?

I don't really think that it is ethically correct the amounts of money that they earn for playing, a maximum of two matches per week. First of all, I have to say that, above all, I love football and I try not to miss a single match. However, elite players earn impossibles sum of money. This way, the ten highest paid players (Messi, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, Falcao, Thiago Silva, Bale, Xavi, Iniesta, Rooney and Drogba, according to 20 Minutos, and without including the advertising) earn in total and all together, 110.470.000 € (and for me it falls short). With this money it could be financed 40% of the budget of Cáritas or open more than 1.600 soup kitchens. Besides, it isn't normal that this players gain all of that money in a country which is going through a difficult time, with evictions, people who can't eat and with a minimum income of 752 € per month. Is it fair that a football player, who doesn't save anyone's live, earn more money than a researcher or doctor who tries to cure cancer?

Designing a blog

When the teacher said that we had to create a blog I was like: ''Oh, great!! I will make an spectacular design!'' Because I always liked designing things, when I was younger, I liked to paint and to design clothes. Now I like designing houses (in paper, obviously) and I try to create some new furniture with old stuff. Also, I have created some forums (rol forums) and blogs, and I have to say that I'm not bad at it. This blog (Miss Ledger's Site) is like vintage style and with light colors. I called it like that because of Heath Ledger, who is one of my favourites actors in the world. I also added some widgets, like a Playlist with some songs that I actually like, things that I like to do and so one. I will improve my blog in the near future. In short, I am quite happy with my blog design!

Aless's life

His parents couldn't mantain him. They never wanted that baby because they were dirt-poor and very young. Even so, they called him Alessandro in honor of his father. As they didn't work, they decided to leave him at the door of an orphanage, which was very hard for them.

Alessandro, at the orphanage, he had to deal with the other kids there, who picked on him too often, developing a front difficult to remove. And at eleven years he started having problems with the other boys, coming to blows with three of them. It seemed that no one was going to adopt him.

A September 12, a middle-aged woman decided to adopt the boy to give him a better life. What Alessandro didn't know was that she was his real mother. Gina had great difficulty in teaching good manners to him, such was the case that we could say that she never got it, considering that at the age of 14, he began to smoke and socialize with the alcohol and the thug boys of the neighborhood.

At sixteen, in an altercation caused by his friends, he set fire to a cop, fortunately, the agent came out of there alive and all they did was send him to a reformatory, it was hard for him because it looked like he had returned to the orphanage: was quite similar.

When he became an adult (at the age of 18), he left the reformatory, returning home with her mother, but not for long. He was caught trafficking all kind of drugs and they put him in jail for months. When he served his sentence he promised himself that he would change.

Pretty Little Liars TAG

BEFORE READING: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS, SO IF YOU ARE GOING TO WATCH THE SERIES OR YOU DIDN'T WATCH ALL THE EPISODES, BETTER NOT CONTINUE READING.

Before starting with the TAG, I am going to give my general opinion of the show and the argument.

Argument of PLL
It is located in the fictional town of Rosewood (Pennsylvania. Spencer Hastings, Hanna Marin, Emily Fields and Aria Montgomery are friends of Alison DiLaurentis, the Queen Bee of Rosewood High. Suddenly, Alison desappears and they begin to separate from each other. A year later, they meet again at school and all of them receive messages from someone who signs them as -A. Alison? That's what they thought. But then, the cops found Alison's body and the girls continue recieving messages from -A, who knows all their secrets.

General opinion: I didn't think that this show would like me as much as I like it, because the first chapter was very interesting but I thought it would be like the typical teen series. How wrong I was! As the episodes progress, it gets darker and more intriguing. They also mix love and teen issues to the story. For the time being we still don't know who is -A, but it happened a lot since the first episode (deaths, lies, secrets...).

-Spoilers start here-

PLL TAG!

1. Who is your favourite character?
My favourite character could be Spencer, because she is so smart and beautiful, or Mona, she's completely crazy but that's amazing, she is quite lunatic and is one of the best character in the series.

2. Who do you think is behind the A team?
At first I thought it was Alison, but now I'm not that sure. If she is behind that I don't really believe that the directors of the series wouldn't have shown us Alison in some situations in which they make us see that Alison is -A.

3. Who do you ship?
Hanna with Travis, there's no doubt. I love that boy. He is one of my crushes on the show. But Hanna now is with Caleb, I can't stand this guy, I don't know why, but I can't. I think that Travis was perfect for Hanna, he took care of her.

4. Most memorably cheesy/stupid moment?
Emily and Paige are very cheesy and stupid. Especially Paige. She is like an Emily's fangirl and I don't understand why Emily starts dating her...Paige almost kill her! That's stupid.

5. Favourite villiain?
My favourite villiain is Mona Vanderwaall. She was A for so long and she was great, you never knew if the things that she said were true or not. She was also a bit creepy. Also I loved Detective Wilden, the bad cop that dated Hanna's mom and maybe Alison too. I'm sure that he had something to do with the A Team (in fact, he was Queen of Hearts at the Halloween train).

6. Who do you think will/might become a villain?
Alison? I think that she is the worse person in Rosewood, I don't know why she gots friends and lots of people arround her. Wren, because he has been appearing throughout the series with any uplifting plot or story. Well, I really think that anyone might become a villiain, in this show you never know!

7. Which girl do you think has been hurt the most by A?
Spencer, she was in a mental hospital, she thought that she killed Alison because of the pills, she failed many exams and so on. Hanna was in the hospital because she was hit by a car but apart from that, nothing special. And Emily loose her career of swimmer. Aria is the one that has recieved less.

8. Which girl's style do you like the most?
I like Spencer's style and Hanna's too (in the 5th season). Spencer wears preppy and classy clothes, more sophisticated. And Hanna in this season wears dark and rock style clothes, and I just love that kind of clothes!

9. Who's your crush on the show?
Travis (as I said before), Wren, Noel, Wilden, Holbrook, Jake, Ezra...I can't choose only one!! Impossible!! The actors of this series are wonderful and very very attractive. I love Wren due to his British accent and his beautiful eyes (like Noel, Wilden, Travis, Ezra...big bright eyes!). Holbrook and Jake, for me, are very sexy, that's all.

10. Who is your least favourite character?
Out of the girls I would say Aria. At the beggining she was my favourite, but now I think she is the dullest one. She doesn't show any emotion and her face is always the same. Out of everyone I would probably say that Caleb. It's simple: I don't like him.

11. What was the most shocking moment for you?
Surely when they made us think that Toby was A. I remember that I was so surprised that I shouted. I didn't expected it.

12.What has been your favourite episode so far?
The Halloween one in season three (This is a dark ride). This was amazing. We descovered many things that we didn't know and I love Halloween thematic, so any Halloween episode has liked me a lot.

Description of a person (imaginary)

«I can not stand those people who criticize me, and those who don't...too»
He is a really good-looking guy. Alessandro has brown hair, tangled and slightly wavy, a bit long. His body is brawny, his skin shows some dark tones. Eyes like the colour of coffee but, depending on the ligh, they become greenish. His way of looking is quite cold and piercing. He is pretty tall. His lips are lightly rose-coloured, a bit small. Although when he smiles they widen very much, showing his perfect teeth. Hi has an ideal smile. He usually wear dark clothes and combat boots, demonstrating that he is a cold guy who likes danger and rock music. Serious and reserved, he is a fairly introverted man, since almost no one approaches him. Surely due to what it is said about him. He rarely shows an emotion. He doesn't like the company, is solitary and avoids people (maybe people avoid him). He likes action, that is why he practices several sports. If you deserve his trust, he is faithfull and loyal, very affectionate. With the girls, he tries to be a gentleman, but often he gets inhibited. He is a very impulsive person, he acts before thinking. He actually is a very clever guy, but he lets the opportunities happen and doesn't take advantage of his potential. He doesn't like lies and people who consider themselves superior to him. If you have any problem with him, better flee before it's too late. In short, he is what they say a ''bad'' guy.

Note: based on Heath Ledger, but the character (Alessandro Verona) is mine.

My favourite place in the world.

I would probably say that Istambul is my favourite place in the world. Actually, I've never been to Istambul but I will do it as soon as possible. This city is located in Turkey and it is between the European and the Asian continent. Also, it was capital of three important empires. So it's a city that mixes modern and traditional issues. If you ask me, I think that it's a heavenly and exotic city. I love everything about Istambul (and Turkey): the culture, the people, the history, the food, the music...There are some places that are impressive, for example Ayasofya or the Galata tower (the views are breathtaking up there). Normally, it's a highly crowded city, because is very turistic, but there are lots of parks where you can have a peacefull walk and be isolated from the rest of the world. It's a very historic place, so there are many museums and interesting buildings to visit. I'm a football fan, so if you are like me you would love visiting the Galatasaray or Fenerbahçe stadium. They are just huge. Besides, it is frequent to see Turkish kids playing in the street next to their houses. Istambul is a city worth visiting because it offers lots of different activities to do, like take a cruise on the Bosphorus (which is a popular tourist attraction), go sightseen or visit the markets. And if you are in love with the Middle East, the Islamic world or the History in general you shouldn't miss the opportunity to visit this fantastic city!
